Update on Literacy Volunteers of Broome-Tioga Counties’ Response on the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Dear LVBTC students, tutors, and friends:
Literacy Volunteers of Broome-Tioga Counties (LVBTC) is implementing new procedures in line with the Broome County Public Library and the Broome County State of Emergency to help ensure the health and safety of our students, tutors, staff, and community.
The Broome County Public Library (BCPL) will be closed to the public from March 16 at 6:00 pm through March 29, 2020. The Literacy Volunteers of Broome-Tioga County offices will be closed in alignment with the BCPL. The Library will reassess further closure. Please continue to check the BCPL and LVBTC websites for program and schedule updates. Our staff will be working remotely. If you need to contact any of us, please email:
RenelleLVBTC@gmail.com, MarieLVBTC@gmail.com, or KristenLVBTC@aol.com.
All of our Literacy Labs/Classes and one-to-one tutoring at the BCPL and offsite locations will be closed in alignment with the Broome and Tioga County Schools which are currently closed through Monday, April 13, 2020.
We will continue to update our website, Facebook page, and phone voicemail message with current information. We will also send email updates to students and tutors that have email addresses on file.
United Way of Broome County has the latest information and good resources on the Coronavirus at https://www.uwbroome.org/latest-information-coronavirus/.
